Your question is not correct.
The only difference a thick converging lens makes is that it has a shorter focal length and hence create image closer to the lens it has nothing to do with the brightness of the image.
Bigger lenses (I mean in size) gather more light so brighter image is formed.
If you are doing an experiment involving this then maybe the light rays of the thinner lens are not converging properly so try to adjust the lens so that the image has the same brightness as the thicker one.
