The length of upper and lower branches of trees is not the same. Trees have branches that are basically woody projections that grow out of the trunk or from other branches.

EXPLANATION:

The large branches are called boughs and small branches are called trees.

ADVANTAGES:

  • The advantage of different length of branches is that the bigger branches act as protectors of the tree.
  • Big branches are tough woody structures and spread far and wide thereby providing more support to the tree and also providing more shadow area.
  • Small branches with the protection provided can continue to grow.
