Plane mirrors are those mirros which always forms a virtual image i.e, not real , behind the mirror and Same size of the Object.
Image size = Object Size
As we daily see our face in Plane mirrors
Image Distance = Object Distance
Plane mirrors doesnt magnify images mean it doesnt make the size of image smaller or larger...You can observe this by looking any object in front of plane mirror....If u go farther away from the mirror,Observe the size of mirror, it doesnt get smaller or larger...
So if we are getting small Images in a mirrors fitted in automobiles will definetly not a plane mirror.
Actually these mirrors are Convex Mirrors...Look ur face on bulging part( i.e, convex part) of spoon you will find ur small image...
