Is the pair of equations 3x-5y=6 and 4x-6y=7 consistent? justify your answer

Answer:

3x-5y=6

4x-6y=7

And,

3x-5y-6=0....(1)

4x-6y-7=0.....(2)

From(1)

a1=3, b1= -5, c1= -6

a2=4, b2= -6, c2= -7

From (1)and(2)

a1/a2=b1/b2=c1/c2

3/4=-5/-6

Therefore,

a1/a2 is not equal to b1/b2

And,it is consistent
