No, PARAM is not an example of minicomputers.
In fact, it is the name of the supercomputers series developed indigenously by India. It was started because in 1980s, the imports of supercomputers to India were denied by the global community.
Param 8000 was the first indigenous super computer of India which was launched in 1991. Since then, a series of indigenous supercomputers were launched under the tag PARAM series.
The latest super computer launched under the PARAM series is the "PARAM ISHAN" which was launched in 2016.
