is the process by which plant cells makes there own food in presence of chlorophyll ,carbon-dioxide, water and sunlight to form glucose, oxygen and water.
More To Know :-
- During day time when sunlight falls on the leaf , sunlight gets trapped in chlorophyll present on upper layers of mesophylls.
- Sunlight is then utilised for manufacturing food with other elements.
- Carbondioxide diffuses into the leaf because it have higher concentration outside than inside leaf (concentration gradient).
- Water is absorbed from soil which with osmosis and imbibition travels up to the leaves , where it gets distributed into tissues of mesophyll.
- In presence of sunlight and chlotophyll.
- Photosynthesis not only produces food for themselves but also indirectly for humans and other living beings. It gives out oxygen , without which no living being can survive.
