Acid and base react together to form salt and water. Both salt and water are neutral, this means, when acid andbase react with each other, they neutralise each other. But remember, neutral salt will only be formed when astrong acid reacts with strong base or weak acid with weak base.

akshatseanjamip2hjto: So, neutralization is not a redox reaction, eh?
Anonymous: In chemistry, neutralization is a chemical reaction in which an acid and a base react to form a salt. Water is frequently, but not necessarily, produced as well.
But, what is redox reaction?
Redox (or reduction-oxidation) reactions include all chemical reactions in which atoms have their oxidation state changed; in general, redox reactions involve the transfer of electrons between species.
akshatseanjamip2hjto: Thanks a lot!
Anonymous: mention not
Anonymous: now u get that it is a redox
