he doest show any honest approval of the change in the family planning or the change of old values because of his love towards the old values
and it an irony use in family planning where old man shows the approval to the small family but on the oter side he feels proud of himself having a large family...

No the proffeser isn't against family planning bcs he is having 11 grand children and he is very happy in having them. He asks the author that how many children's he have "how many issues u have" (by this line) and he says 3.
He clearly says that he isn't family planning and family planning is good these days.
Yes he is against the social changes.
