Is the radius of an ion always larger than the atomic radius of the original atom?

☆ In negative ion (anion) the radius is larger than the orginal atom due to decreases of the effective nuclear charge

☆ In positive ion ( cation) the radius is less than the orginal atom due to the increases of the effective nuclear charge
