revenue expenditures are those expendetiures are incurred by a business enerprise during a year for performing the various business operations. the benefit of these expentiure is consumed within the year in which they are incurred .

example suppose you are a timber trader then your goods are timber and other wooden products the purchase of the timber is considered/recorded in the purchases A/c and purchases is your revenue expenditure

another example is you give wages to your workers

you give freight ,carriage,electricity expenses

even depreciation is also a revenue expenditure but non cash expenditure
