yes there is a role of haemoglobin in the transportation of oxygen as well as carbon dioxide  because rbcs  contain both oxygen and cabon atoms  and these rbcs are transported by water in our body  when we get iron in our body  it con tain both oxygen as well as carbon dioxide when mixed with blood cells .
