Yes,the space between the particles in the matter influence the speed of diffusion as Gases have high intermolecular space between it's particles while than the solid and liquid.

Eg:When a bottle of perfume is opened in the corner of a room the fragnance of the perfume spreads in air and covers the entire space of the room.

Answer:This is because as Gases have high intermolecular spaces between it's particles so it move with high speeds.

•Other examples of the diffusion are the spreading of virus on sneezing ,carbon dioxide in seawater and dissolution of oxygen etc.
