Is the temperature of different parts of the body the same or different?

Different body parts have different temperatures and this is evident when a person gets fever. Tongue is always at least 2 degree cooler than armpit. ... We check fever by touching the forehead, hand, and neck etc because those places are relatively warmer than other body parts
