Yes, it can be said that the title "The Road Not Taken" is apt for the poem. The poem talks about the two distinct roads or options which comes in the lives of the person when he has to take an important decision. One road has been chosen by many people and the other is not. This becomes a problematic phase for the person to decide which road to choose. The diversion of the roads stops any person and forces him to think about both the roads. The person thinks about the roads and then decide which one of choose. While choosing which path to walk on, the person experiences the dilemma of the options. If he chooses the road which many have chosen then it would bring no new experience to the person. While, if he chooses to opt for the less taken path, there are chances of falling back or experiencing falls in his life. While choosing the one, the person has to leave the other one. No one can walk on two paths simultaneously. It is because of this reason that the poet thinks about the road which he had not chosen while walking on the road which he had chosen for himself.
