Is the triangle with sides 12 cm, 16 cm and 18 cm a right triangle? Give reason.

no it is true because

h²=s²+s²

18²=12²+16²

324=144+256

324≠400

12 + 16 > 18
16 + 18 > 12
18 + 12 > 16

So, it is a triangle, according to triangle inequality property.

(18)^2 = (12)^2 + (16)^2 {Pythagoras Theorem}
324 = 144 + 256
324 is not equal to 400

So, it is not a right angled triangle.
