Is the triangle with sides 13 cm,16cm,and 18cm a right triangle? Give reason.

No, The triangle with the above measures can't be a right angled triangle.

Here's why :

In a right angled triangle, Square of hypotenuse should be equal to sum of squares of other two sides.

Hypotenuse is the longest side

So, 18² = 324

Also, 13² + 16² = 169 + 256 = 425

As 324 ≠ 425

18² ≠ 13² + 16²

The above triangle can't be a right angled triangle

no bcoz if it is a right angled triangle sum of the squares of both the sides will be equal to the square of hypotenuse

but the above measures don't satisfy the given rule
