Hey mate!!!!

It is difficult for me to believe that anything is not deterministic. But, a belief in a deterministic universe is a matter of faith, because Determinism can neither be proved to be true nor disproved. The paradigm of Determinism posits that all activity in the universe is both
(i) mandated by all activity that preceded it (to the extent there is such as thing as the passage of time)

(ii) the only activity that could possibly occur given the prior activity.

If the universe is deterministic, everything that has ever occurred, is occurring, and will occur since the universe came into existence (however that might have occurred) can only occur exactly as it has occurred, is occurring, or will occur, and cannot possibly occur in any different manner.

Determinism does not address the manner by which activity first began. Nor does determinism address whether activity is intelligently and intentionally designed, or simply occurs base on a random beginning. As such, a belief in a deterministic universe neither precludes nor requires a belief in God.

Determinism does not posit that the factors that have caused, are causing, or will cause any particular activity can be known or understood, or that future activity can be predicted with any degree of certainty. Accordingly, the view of quantum physics that it is impossible to predict with scientific certainty the future activity of all things and/or that there can be things that are entirely identical that behave differently under identical circumstances do not establish that the universe is not deterministic — especially when there is no such thing as two identical things or two identical circumstances in a deterministic universe.

As I see it, Determinism provides a consistent explanation for everything, and can neither be proven true nor false. Like beliefs in religion, science, and other putative explanations of how the universe works, Determinism can be accepted or rejected only on faith.
