Conductors are any substance that has the capability of transmitting heat / electricity from one medium to another, regardless of phase. Electrolytes, chemically, are ionic compounds that, when dissolved in a solvent, dissociates into negative and positive ions, allowing it to conduct electricity

Electrolytes contain the charge.
Conductors route the charge.
