I think the speaker wants books because he wants to study and want to be called as educated and there is even one Proverb that the pen is smaller than the sword. if all the people will be away from all the fight and war then everywhere it will be positivity and and everyone will be happy if everyone will use gun and other things then there will be war and and war only and many people will even die or lost someone from their family. If everyone will be Educated then people will silently heal all the problem with our killing or injuring someone
