yes there are several ways to do so:
Multiple cropping: To grow more than one crop in the same field during a single growing season.is known as multiple cropping. This system gives high yield.
Crop rotation : especially planting legumes (plants that naturally fix nitrogen in the soil) every 2nd or 3rd year (or even more spread out) is a big plus point for long term high production. This does not let the land lie fallow (unused) for a season.
