Worms are not made to live in brains. If they somehow end up in your brain then 1) It’s an accident and 2)You’re probably about to die as foreign bodies in the brain usually cause infection etc. Being as they are not meant to be in your brain worms generally die if they get there. It’s not a good scenario for either of you.  Besides this worms are not inherited at birth… and people rarely get these days because of better sanitation than our ancestors had. The BEST way to get worms is to eat poop which is infested with them - that’s how most animals get them - but humans don’t normally eat poop. We do however sometimes eat vegetables from soil that has infected poop in it and swallow worm eggs indirectly from that - but again these worms want to be in your intestines which is where they are meant to live, sucking up nutrients as they go by. They do not want to be in your brain.  As humans it pays to be grossed out by parasites. They’re not good for us. So they are in our psychology, no matter how fanciful the stories might get. Go to any emergency psychiatric unit and you will find people trying to pick imaginary bugs out of their skin or claiming worms are in their brain controlling their thoughts. It’s a deep deep fear…. one that is not going away, but that doesn’t mean it’s rational.
