they are different as when we apply force then a work is being done but if the force applied is negative then the work done is zero so it is not same

Yes there is a difference between force sand weight.
Weight is the amount of force applied on an object when the gravitational force of gravity is also considered.
Again in case if weight, we do not consider the "g" factor and hence we dont consider gravity.
It is just mass multiplied to acceleration. Hence they are not the same.
