Explanation:

Antarctica has the least earthquakes of any continent, but small earthquakes can occur anywhere in the World.

Although they can occur anywhere on the planet with little or no warning, the most extreme earthquakes occur near plate boundaries, as the plates converge (collide), diverge (move away from another), or shear (grind past one another). Moving rock and magma within volcanoes can also trigger earthquakes.

Answer:

On this planet, earth, there is no place which is earthquake- free.

Explanation:

Earthquake : Earthquakes are the tremors produced due to the movement, collision of the crustal plates present beneath the earth surface. Consequently, due to such movements, vibration occurs and the impact is observed on the surface of the earth which claims lives and loss of property.

  • The point under the earth where earthquakes originate is known as the hypocentre or the focus of the earthquake, and the place on the surface just above the hypocentre is known as epicentre. Earthquakes are measured by a scale called the Richter scale.
  • The movements undergoing the earth are continuous and there is no place on the earth where such movements of  crustal plates are absent. Their impact on the surface may be too low or very high. Therefore, there is no place on the earth which is earthquake free.
