Many other ways like if u want frequency in di hybrid cross of genotype RrYy it will be (2•2)/16.
This means if u got an homozygous gene take 1 and if heterozygous take 2.
And for whole no. of progeny use formula 2^n(ex-for RrYy, there are 4 different alleles so it will be 2^4=16 ie total no of progeny will be 16).
Lets take a final example:-
Q-find genotype of XXYy.
A- total no of progeny:2^3=8 hence,it will be (1•2)/8=1/4 .thank you!
