A body cannot exist at a state of absolute rest orabsolute motion. For example, two persons sitting in a moving bus are at rest w.r.t eachother but are in motion w.r.t. Thus, there is noobject which can be condisered to be atabsolute rest. Hence, rest and motion are relative terms.
