Uncooked rice can contain spores of Bacillus cereus, a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. The spores can survive when rice is cooked. If rice is left standing at room temperature, the spores can grow into bacteria. These bacteria will multiply and may produce toxins (poisons) that cause vomiting or diarrhoea.

No, reheating cooked rice before eating does not kill the spores or and any toxins that have already been produced and can still make you ill. Any cooked rice that has been stored at incorrect temperatures (between 5 °C and 60 °C for a long time) will be still unsafe to eat.

Her problem started with an urge to eat the uncooked rice while she goes to cook and see the uncooked rice in the kitchen. At the beginning her urge to eat raw rice started only when she saw the uncooked rice mostly when she cooks
