Hello friend!!
The answer is within the definition!!
What??
Let me tell you the definition....
1. Electric potential is the amount of work done in bringing an unit positive charge FROM INFINITY TO A POINT IN THE CONDUCTOR.
2. Potential difference is the amount of work done in bringing an unit positive charge FROM ONE POINT OF THE CONDUCTOR TO ANOTHER.
So, electric potential is the work done when you bring a positive charge from anywhere outside the field of the conductor to a point on the conductor...whereas potential difference is the amount of work done when you bring an unit positive charge from one point of the conductor to another...Hope this helps..
Thanks.
