A number of the form a/b, where “a” and “b” are whole numbers, and b is not equal to zero is known as fraction. Examples : 2/1, 3/2, 0/4, 5/7 etc.
On the other hand, A rational number is a number that can be written in the form p/q, where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0. The denominator of a rational number can never be zero. Examples : -7/8, 3/-2, 9/4, -5/-7 etc.
