yes
weight is the product of mass(m) and acceleration due to gravity(g).
w=mg
but mass is the quantity of the object

There is a huge difference mass is the amount of matter in an object and
weight is the force exerted by the earth on an object due to the acceleration due to gravity w=mg where g Is the acceleration due to gravity which is 9.8 m/s^2
