Is there any difference if class leader was selected by teacher or elected by students?

yes there is difference but duties of leaders remains same whereas representative selected by teacher will receive straight orders from teacher and he may or may not listen to the problems of students and if a representative is selected by class students they know the correct person who will stand for the class in any situation and it is only the way of enjoying democracy in class.

Yes it has a difference .
The leader selected by a teacher is in direct control of teacher and may or may not listen to the problems of the students whereas the student elected by students will selected according to his nature how he behaves and will listen to every problems of the students .
But sometimes the situations can change too.
