Is there any item or ingredients whose source is neighter plants are nor animals?

There are bacteria that use sulfur for food. If you mean food for humans or other such macro critters, then from what I can tell, all foods they can use are carbon based thus originate from “organic” materials (ie derived from plant/animal (carbon-based) matter … including oil, coal, etc).
