Specific heat is the vitality required to change a unit mass of a material by 1°C. Units: vitality per unit mass per degree.

Latent heat is the vitality required to change the state (gas, fluid, strong) of a unit mass of material. Units: vitality per unit mass.

Both specific heat and latent heat are properties of a given material. At the end of the day, each time the material is warmed/cooled, regardless of how rapidly or by what heating procedure, a similar measure of heat is exchanged to achieve a similar state.

• Specific heat doesn't matter when a substance is experiencing stage change.

• Specific heat causes temperature change where in idle warmth there's no temperature change included.
