There is NO relation betweenlatent heat and specific heatcapacity. Specific heat capacity is the heat required to raise the temperature of unit mass of asubstance by 1°C(1K). ... This is because during phase change (say, the melting of ice into water at 0°C), the temperature of thesubstance remains the same.

Answer:-
The specific heat capacity of a material is the amount of energy (Q) needed to raise 1 kg of a material through a temperature change of 1 kelvin.
Equation 1:
Q = energy in / or out of the material in joules (J)
m = mass of the material in kilograms (kg)
c = the specific heat capacity of the material in J kg-1K-1
ΔT = change in temperature in kelvin (K)
Latent heat is taken in / or given out when a material changes state e.g. solid to liquid or liquid to gas.
Equation 2:
Q = energy in / or out of the material in joules (J)
m = mass of the material which has changed state in kilograms (kg)
l= latent heat in J kg-1
From equations 1 and 2, you will get the required relation between c and l
I =c ΔT
Hope so it will help you ^_^
