Ingestion of food enhances secretion of large quantities of bile into theduodenum to aid in the digestion and absorption of fats. Most of thesecreted bile acids are reabsorbed and transported back into the liver where they can be reused. This is referred to as the enterohepatic cycle.

Answer:

Bile acids entering into enterohepatic circulating are primary acids synthesized from cholesterol in hepatocyte. They are secreted actively across canalicular membrane and carried in bile to gallbladder, where they are concentrated during digestion
