Follow the simple trick:
Given Atom ----> Count the number of atoms connected to that particular atom ----> Count the number of lone pairs present in it ----> now add both numbers ----> hybridization of atom
now on adding if you get the following results then kudos to you!
If it's 1 then it's probably Hydrogen.
If it's 2 then your atom is of sp hybridization.
If it's 3 then your atom is of sp^2 hybridization.
If it's 4 then your atom is of sp^3 hybridization.
keep calm and try it out!
