Explanation:

In chemistry: a pure substance consists only of one element or one compound. a mixture consists of two or more different substances, not chemically joined together.

mixture as the name suggest mixture is combination of any two or more substances so how can it be pure

example - lemon water is combination of lemon and water. ( we can't say it purely lemon or water)

whereas pure substance is one substance so offcourse its pure.

example - lemon
