is there any substitute for nichrome wire in the electric water heater???? can we use any other wire??

yes we use nichrome wire in electric heater heater because the nichrome wire is a metal alloy and when the electricity is passed in the alloy then a high resistance is produced due to the high resistance the water is biggest to heat does we use nichrome wire if we use another wire like silver show the heat is not produced then the water is not well so we use another metal alloy in this substitute
