My body would have been on the 2004 NCAA basketball video game. And the Schottenstein Center would have been sold out every single night if I was there. Me and my mom, we didn’t have anything. We wouldn’t have been able to benefit at all from it. The university would have been able to capitalize on everything.” In this quote LeBron James is talking about how unfair the National Collegiate Athletic Association because star athletes like LeBron bring a lot of money to universities but they don’t get a cut of the cash they alone bring in to the schools. Although it is true that student-athletes receive free education, they should still be paid because collegiate players earn lots of money for their schools, will stay in college longer, and college players are not cheap labor.
