in this figure r1 and r2 are parallel and r3 is in series.

1/6+1/2+6=R
20/3=R

Both combination .
firstly, you will find your ans by applying formula of parallel combination( in r1 and r2 )and again apply formula of series combination ( in r3) after finding parallel combination of r1 and r2 then add r3 by applying series formula .
