Is this reaction possible
Potassium Nitrate + Sodium Chloride = Potassium Chloride + Sodium Nitrate

Potassium Nitrate(KNO3)+ Sodium Chloride(Nacl)= Potassium chloride(KCl) + Sodium Nitrate(NaNO3)

KNO3 + Nacl = KCl + NaNO3

balanced equation:-
NaCl + KNO3 = KCl + NaNO3
It is a double displacement reaction.

imran05: It is only skeleton Equation. In the lab, when these are mixed only ions are formed and no precipitate is obtained.
