No . India is geographically very diverse and is large in extent. Most regions in India division are ethnically , linguistics and culturally much diverse. Each region possess different problems which requires regional solutions. moreover due to large population it is not possible to monitor governance to the whole population and area through one government. Moreover as of democratic decentralization in constitution power in hand of one government must not be concentrated. Even constitution has included the Federal of structure of governance into the basic structure of constitution. Hence ,Unitary government system is not suitable for India
