Generally it is better
because it gives us
1)lot more job opportunity
2)if more population, the services are more
3) He/She can have better or higher education in that particular area/region.
4)modes of transportation are more and advanced than in rurals
5)social activities usually gain great attention in urbanized areas.

now comes the disadvantages
1)Many times people suffer from scarcity of water.
2)The houses are smaller compared to rural areas due to the population and the issues of space management.
3)More job opportunities lead to lot of migrations from rural to urban, some time not having the condition for houses or flats, slum areas become to increase.
4)sometimes, over migrants come here, but the job opportunities are less to handle this vast amount of people and hence cause growth in Crime rate.
eg: smuggling, black market, untaxed transactions, etc.
5)The land value increases rapidly.

hope it helped you to understand, but wether it is good or not that's ur choice!
