Yes, but it is -gh, a negative as it moves against the gravity and it is a lowercase 'g' and not an uppercase G

g indicate acceleration due to gravity whereas, G indicates gravitational constant which is approx. 9.8 m/s² depending on few sums we can take it 10 m/s2 also..

When a object is thrown upward with some initial velocity(v) and we replace the acceleration(a) by acceleration due to gravity (g) as it is moving upwards and the distance(s) is replace by height(h).
