No, variable velocity and uniform velocity are different from each other.

A body is said to undergo variable velocity when it covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time in a particular direction.
It is also called non-uniform velocity.

A body is said to undergo uniform velocity when it covers equal distances in equal intervals if time in a particular direction.
