Hello mate

No the velocity of molecules is not same in each layer of laminar flow.

This is so because of viscosity in fluids. This is the friction between the layers of fluid . Now as friction role is to oppose a motion , the top most layer has highest velocity and as we go down friction increases due to more normal force and hence the last layer ha the least velocity.
