Yes patriarchy is also one of the main reasons of violence on women.

Patriarchy means male dominated society and for example in any household if you see a male is having all the powers then he will surely misuse his powers and do violent activities with his wife.

Patriarchy needs to be slashed if we really want to improve the conditions of women.
