Hey , it is a compound having molecular formula H2O , it is made up of hydrogen and oxygen..Both are the gases and their product is water which is in liquid state ...The reason behind water being a compound is such that it can be broken easily on the other hand pure substances cannot be broken or decomposed easily!!
