Water is terribly good conductor but not pure water..
Pure H20 (which is very hard to produce and doesn't stay pure for long) will not conduct electricity, but water found in your bath tub or sink will do because it is not 100% pure. Pure water will conduct a very small amount of electricity due to the self ionisation of water but good and high conductor of electricity is really not pure water.. and pure water is weak and bad conductor of electricity..

I want scientific reason...
if we put electric wire into water what will happen
water will allow electricity pass through them but in small amount like in ocean electric will not spread all over the ocean only it will spread in small amount
so that
