Is westernisation a boon or curse for Indian Society?

It is both actually though it is more of the latter.
It is a boon because we are able to get to know different cultures and traditions and also getting to know many other things and it is a curse because today if we don't speak English we are considered to be backward and orthodox. If we don't wear western clothes we are considered to be "not modern". Also westernisation today has taken away our pride and our identity as an Indian.
So that kind of sums it up and since you asked only whether it is a boon or a bane..I didn't explain much..jus briefed it up.
