The same reason humans don’t get crushed by atmospheric pressure, see The pressure difference (between the outside and the inside of the body) is all that matters, not the absolute value. All creatures regulate the pressure inside to the same as that of the atmospheric pressure, hence there is no external force that can crush it. Evolution has shaped us that way.
